Advisor Chat

A conversation with your advisor, using your real QuickBooks numbers and everything you’ve talked about before.

Starting a conversation

Open Advisor Chat and pick what you want to talk about:

Each one starts you off with a question already typed in, so you don’t have to figure out where to begin. Or pick Open Session and type whatever’s on your mind. You can change topics at any point in the conversation.

What you can ask

Anything about your numbers. Try something like “how’s my cash flow looking” or “what’s driving my margin down this month.” If you’re looking at a specific number on your Command Center, there are usually a few suggested questions sitting right there too.

What the advisor remembers

Your advisor always works from your real, live QuickBooks numbers (this is what we call your Canon), plus a running summary of what you’ve talked about before (your Advisory History). That means you won’t have to re-explain your business every time you start a new chat. See the Glossary for more on both.

Follow-ups and goals

If your advisor says something like “let’s revisit this next week,” that turns into a follow-up you’ll see waiting for you later. Any goals you tell your advisor about are tracked too, and get factored into future conversations.
