Scenarios
Try out “what if” decisions, like hiring someone new, changing your prices, or a slow season, before you commit to them.
Building a scenario
Pick one of three options and fill in your own numbers:
- Revenue Shift: move revenue up or down and see what happens to your profit and margin.
- New Hire: enter a salary and see what that person would actually cost you, including benefits, and how it affects your numbers.
- Break-even: enter your fixed costs and how much profit you make per sale, and see how much revenue you’d need to break even.
Your starting numbers come pre-filled from your latest QuickBooks data (or sample numbers if you haven’t connected yet), and you can change them before running the scenario.
Getting your advisor’s take
Click “Get CFO take” on any scenario for a short, specific read on what it actually means for your business, not just the math. Once you get feedback, the scenario is saved automatically so you can come back to it later.
Turning scenarios into a plan
After you’ve run a few scenarios, you can generate an action plan that pulls them together: where things stand, what to prioritize, the numbers to keep an eye on, and one thing to avoid.
